Williamsburg Trip
Each year Tchefuncte Middle School hosts a trip to Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia. This trip is for fifth graders who exhibit responsibility in behavior and have a 3.0 G.P.A. The fee varies each year depending on transportation costs and the number of travelers.
The purpose of the trip is to bring colonial history alive. Students visit Williamsburg as well as Yorktown and Jamestown. This October trip is four days long. A recent fifth grade traveler, Isaac, said, “It was a whole lot of fun.” To sign up, Tchefuncte Middle School fourth graders must attend an informal meeting, which is held in January of each year.
