The National Geographic Bee is a nationwide contest for students in grades four through eight. It is an educational outreach program hosted by the National Geographic Society. The Bee is designed to test student’s knowledge of geography in school, state, and national competitions. All T.M.S. students participate in this contest.
Each year the classes of T.M.S. hold the Geography Bee during their social studies class. The winner from each class proceeds to the school competition. The winning students continue advancing until the school has one champion. That student attends the state bee and if successful proceeds to the national competition.
