Each fall during the Tchefuncte Middle School Open House Week, students have the chance to participate in the annual Scholastic Book Fair. During that week books cannot be checked out, but the library is filled with 10,000+ books for the students to buy. Students may buy books before school, during their library periods, at recess, and after school. There are about 5-10 copies of each title, but for best sellers Mrs. Britt orders 50-100 copies! Mrs. Britt uses the money earned to buy new books requested by teachers and students, new computers, and to purchase materials for the library.
