Welcome to our Tchefuncte Middle
School website. Home to the Gators, the administration,
faculty, and staff welcomes you to our school. It
is an honor to serve as principal of such a fine school
of educational excellence. The opportunity to work
with so many dedicated teachers, staff members, parents,
and students has been a very rewarding adventure for me.
Acknowledged as a School of Academic Distinction by the
state of Louisiana's accountability Program, Tchefuncte
Middle School has focused our efforts on student progress.
By working together with students and parents, our school
strives to provide an environment that is rich in creative
challenges for our students. Supported by our parents, our
goal has been to create a strong base of academic learning
and educational enrichment that will guide our students
through their many life experiences. Our school motto reminds
us of our mission for the students we serve, "Laying
the Foundations for the Future." We embrace our
mission of Teaching, Motivating, and Succeeding as we focus
on activities that are happening each day at Tchefuncte
