| Accelerated Reader (AR) is a
reading program which, we hope, will challenge students, help to
raise test scores, and above all, make reading fun and exciting for
all of our students. Once a student reads a book from the AR list,
he/she will then take a computerized test and be given immediate
feedback. More information about the AR program, such as how it's
aligned with state standards, can be read from the Renaissance

Middle School website.
"Geaux Gators...Team Up with Books"
is the library theme for the 2006-2007 school year. Our field trip
this year will be to visit the Saints practice field. We are reading
for AR points. Each month the student with the highest number of AR
points will receive a certificate for his/her homeroom. Plus, a
certificate will be given to the classroom for each grade level with
the highest number of points to be displayed outside of their
classroom.
